Turning inward, moving forward.

Hi, I’m Stephanie.

I will never fully understand what it’s like to live a day in your shoes, so I don’t see myself as the expert on being you. Instead, I work with you collaboratively, bringing clinical tools and knowledge helping you to tease apart sticky problems, challenge perspectives, and facilitate reflection. I work to empower you in your own self-trust.

While I have extensive experience working with OCD, phobias, anxiety, and trauma, I recognise that therapy is never one-size-fits-all. I take a flexible, person-centred approach. I customise the therapeutic experience to what you need, drawing from Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Alongside my clinical training, I bring lived experience of OCD, which shapes my understanding of how intrusive, convincing, and isolating it can feel. Along with a deep appreciation of the strength and courage it takes to move through it.

I create a space free of judgement, where you feel seen, heard, and grounded as you are, and as you move forward. Nothing is too much, too strange, or too taboo. All parts are welcome here.

I also bring a lived understanding of religious and identity transitions, including experiences of faith, deconstruction, and shifting belief systems. As a first-generation Australian from an Eastern European family, I’m also mindful of the complexities that can come with navigating cultural expectations, family dynamics, and identity.

I have worked across creative and performance industries internationally, and have completed research exploring mental health in performers, including artists, musicians, and actors. I have collaborated with leaders across non-government organisations to support community mental health initiatives, and have taught psychology subjects at the University of Melbourne.

These experiences continue to shape how I work, knowing that we are all nuanced, evolving, and never defined by a single story.

Outside of psychological counselling, I enjoy long walks, playing with my two cats, and finding new music.
